Finnish Wood Houses S.A.R.L. was established in 2001 by its General Manager Petri Jääskeläinen who comes from Finland.
His career as a skilled tradesman enabled him to build over one hundred homes and chalets in Finland, Germany, Russia and more recently in France. His building projects were all designed, manufactured and supplied by some of the largest Finnish factories.
Having conducted a detailed survey of the property market , Petri Jääskeläinen came to the conclusion that there was in fact an extensive demand for log homes throughout Europe. Encouraged by this development and with the backing of his international experience and skills, he decided to form his own company in France with the object of meeting the customers wish for an ideal “dream house”.
Selecting wood as a building material for a house is by far the wisest choice. Wood is environmentally friendly and is considered as having the best thermal insulation properties in the building industry. It is no secret that wood offers a substantial saving in heating costs to maintain the indoor temperature of a house to a comfortable level particularly during the winter months.
A log home creates a healthier environment because wood is able to breathe which means that a wooden house will never suffer from residual damp or humidity. Moreover, wood provides an aesthetically pleasing effect compared with conventional building materials. It creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere in the home which provides a feeling of well-being.

Delivery on site of all building materials from Finland is possible within eight weeks from receipt of your order. Owing to the efficient and speedy assembly of a log home, your house could be ready for possession within three months.
